Chinese tour operators visit many Moroccan tourist cities during their Fam trip
A delegation of Chinese tour operators started their 7-day fam trip at the end of October. They visited many highlights of Morocco, including Casablanca, Rabat, Chefchaouen, Fez, Marrakech, as well as Sahara Desert. This trip will help to promote Morocco in Chinese travel market.
From 26, October to 2, November, Ministry of Tourism of Morocco partnered up with CBN Travel & MICE and World Travel Online to host a familiarization trip for a delegation of over 40 Chinese tour operators. This trip will help to better marketize Morocco in the Chinese travel market.

During the 7-day trip, all participants had the chance to visit the highlights of Morocco in the tourists cities of Casablanca, Rabat, Chefchaouen, Fez, Marrakech, and enjoyed an unforgettable moment in Sahara Desert.

One of the delegates said that Morocco was one of the new “up-and-coming” destinations for Chinese tourists, and this trip would help deepen the understanding of Morocco through the specially-designed itinerary. “We love the trip," he said: "We will share the amazing Morocco with our friends and tourists!"

Morocco saw a drastic growth in the number of Chinese tourists during the first six months of the year, with an increase of 565 percent recorded compared to the same period in 2016. The surge in Chinese visitors relates to Morocco's new visa-free travel policy for Chinese nationals, started on June 1 of 2016. The air connectivity is also improved between the two countries. According to an Oxford Business Group report, 42,000 Chinese tourists visited Morocco in 2016 and the number is expected to double to 100,000 this year.
