Russia, for its part, will unveil interesting proposals for travellers in a context characterised by its vast territory, rich historical and cultural heritage and the wild nature of many of its regions. Scotland will boast its historic castles, traditional Highland Games and beautiful lakes; Greece will exhibit its cultural possibilities and the beauty of its islands; and Belgium, among other proposals, will offer leisure activities, antiques markets, concerts and music festivals.
French Polynesia (Bora Bora, Moorea, Tahiti…), a dream destination in the Pacific Ocean, will showcase its natural landscapes, luxury hotels and a comprehensive range of aquatic activities such as snorkelling, diving, sailing or surfing. And the Egyptian coastlines (Red Sea, White Mediterranean and Sinai) will also offer sailing, windsurfing, kitesurfing and water-skiing. Turkey’s stand at FITUR will have exhibitions of traditional crafts and its visitors will enjoy a Turkish coffee, a drink listed by Unesco as Intangible Heritage of Humanity.
Shopping tourism will also be included in the proposals of territories such as Russia and United States as well as China, Japan, Mexico, Brazil and the Gulf countries, important destinations in the luxury segment. The trade show will actually be launching a new section, FITUR SHOPPING, which is dedicated to this segment and will contribute to consolidate it. And among the new international proposals presented by some exhibitors is health tourism, a rising segment also represented for the first time and in a special format at the Trade Show through FITUR HEALTH.
