Foreign Minister Yang Jiechi Holds Talks with Norway's Foreign Minister Stoere
On August 30, 2010, Chinese Foreign Minister Yang Jiechi held talks in the Foreign Ministry with visiting Norwegian Foreign Minister Jonas Gahr Stoere.

On August 30, 2010, Chinese Foreign Minister Yang Jiechi held talks in the Foreign Ministry with visiting Norwegian Foreign Minister Jonas Gahr Stoere.

Yang said that China-Norway relations have maintained sound development in recent years with close personnel exchanges at all levels, increasing political trust and in-depth development of pragmatic cooperation in the areas of economy, trade, energy and humanities. China appreciates Norway's adherence to the one-China policy and is ready to work with the country to push bilateral ties to a new level, said Yang.

Stoere said China has made admirable achievements in its reform and opening-up endeavor. Currently Norway-China relations remain sound with close cooperation between the two countries on politics, economy and humanities. The two countries share common interests on many issues and can focus on enhancing energy and financial cooperation in the future.

Both sides also exchanged views on international and regional issues of common concern.

Norwegian Foreign Minister Stoere paid an official visit to China on August 30 at the invitation of Chinese Foreign Minister Yang Jiechi.
