China Southern Airlines, the nation's largest carrier, is scheduled to launch flights linking Guangzhou, the capital of Guangdong province, and Lagos in Nigeria on October 10, 2010.
The service, the first ever from South China, will be operated with an intermediate stop in Dubai.
Outbound flights will depart from Guangzhou at 22:30 local time, every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday, and return flights will depart from Lagos at 12:50 local time every Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday, with arrival in Guangzhou at 11:50 local time, the next day.
Guangzhou-based China Southern launched its first air service between China and Africa in 2007 on the Beijing-Dubai-Lagos route.
