Peruvian President Alan Garcia said Friday that his country will strength relations with China and Brazil and hailed its commercial cooperation with the two countries.
Peru is one of China's major trading partners in Latin America.
Garcia said Peru will enhance cooperation with Brazil, not only on energy, but on tourism.
"We are working with Brazil on an agreement of growth and electrical interconnection that will allow us to strengthen relations with the great South American power of 220 million people," he said.
Currently, Brazilian tourists to Peru stand at 43,000 each year due to the lack of close cooperation between the two countries in this regard.
"We are on the way to open two more commercial lines to boost tourists from China and Brazil," Garcia added.
