Continental Airlines announced its 2009 U.S. tour promotion recently to Beijing and Shanghai major outbound travel agents with the theme of celebrating the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and the United States.

China chief representative and director of Guo Xing-chang said that China and the United States welcome the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations, and Continental Airlines will open a new route with daily non-stop flights between New York and Shanghai starting on March 26, 2009.

This new route will fly daily between Shanghai and Newark Liberty International Airport. This route is also the first new route between China and the United States marking the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
