The Civil Aviation Administration Of China said that Hainan Airlines Company Limited has formally submitted an application for three additional fixed international passenger routes.
The three routes include one round-trip route from Beijing to Bishkek with three weekly flights which will be operated using Boeing 737-800 aircraft and is scheduled to open from this July; one from Beijing to Mumbai which is planned to have seven weekly flights operated using Airbus A330 or A340 aircraft and is scheduled to open from this July; and one from Beijing to Toronto to be launched this October, which will have seven weekly flights and will be operated using Airbus A340 aircraft.
Deng Jian, director of the marketing department of Hainan Airlines Company Limited, said that the reason the company plans to add three international routes is because the wide-body aircraft it ordered will be delivered over the next month, which will enhance the company's transportation capacity.
