The Asia-Europe Meeting Forum and Exhibition on Tourism Investment and Cooperation will held from October 19-22, 2006, in Yantai.

The event is endorsed by ASEM High Level Meeting and approved by the Chinese Government. This event is jointly sponsored by China's Ministry of Commerce, China National Tourism Administration and Shandong Provincial Government.

The meeting will tackle issues surrounding developing tourism, promoting investment and reinforcing cooperation and aims to strengthen Asia-Europe partnership. This is the first large-scale activity organized within the ASEM framework in the tourism investment and trade sector.

The event is an active measure the Chinese government has taken in positive participation in the process and for the promotion of ASEM economic cooperation.

This Forum and Exhibition includes four parts, they are Exhibition, Forum on Tourism Cooperation & Development, Investment & Trade Talks and Cultural Tourism Promotion.
