Vice Chairman of CNTA meets with Cuban Minister of Tourism Manuel.Maredo.Crew in Beijing
Vice Chairman of CNTA Zhu Shanzhong met with Cuban Minister of Tourism, Manuel .Multi .Crew on Februray 2rd in Beijing.

Zhu Shanzhong first welcomed Manuel .Multi .Crew to visit China and introduced the development situation of tourism industry in China in 2009. He said that although facing challenges of financial crisis and influenza A/H1N1, Chinese tourism industry still kept steady and rapid growth. In 2009, the number of Chinese citizens engaged in domestic tourism reached 1.902 billion person/times, up 11.1% compared with that of 2008, with earnings from domestic tourism up to 102 million RMB, up 16.4% compared with that of 2008. And numbers of inbound tourists reached 126 million person/times, down 2.7% compared with that of 2008. While number of those having outbound travel for the first time was 47.66 thousand person/times, up 4.0% compared with that of 2008. In addition, Zhu Shanzhong introduced the working highlights of Chinese tourism industry in 2010 and the development situation of Red Tourism.
Manuel .Multi .Crew said China and Cuban enjoyed friendly and harmonious cooperation in tourism. In 2009, the number of Chinese tourists to Cuba has experienced substantial increases. For the suggestions from Chinese side, he also expressed strong support, saying that Cuba's tourism sector would increase tourism promotion efforts in China. Meanwhile, Manuel .Multi .Crew also hoped that Chinese entrepreneurs would invest in Cuba tourism industry.
