China outbound tourists reached 47.66 million person-times in 2009, up 4% compared with 2008. There have been 139 countries and districts opened as Effected ADS Destinations to Chinese citizen, 104 of them carried out according to the report by China National Tourism Administration (CNTA) on the nationwide tourism meeting on 25th.
It is predicted by China Tourism Academy (CTA) that it will be 54 million person-times visitors going abroad in 2010, up 15% compared with 2009. And the outbound travel consumption will be 48 billion US dollars in 2010, up 14% compared with 2009.
China's tourism industry will grow by 12 percent to exceed 1.44 trillion yuan ($210 billion) in 2010. Employ 500,000 more people in the industry.
